Why it's the home of the Merrijig Rodeo of course, and this is how you get here.
Turn Left when level with the Hunt Club Hotel on your right on the corner into School Lane. Imediately turn right into McCormacks Rd which is a dirt road just after the 3 letter boxes, there is a pay phone on the corner. From here you will be unable to miss the Merrijig Rodeo arena in all it's event activity and splender.
Merrijig is approx 2.5-3hrs away from Melbournes outer suburbs. The drive from Melbourne through the magestic country side is worth the trip before you even reach your destination. See the land reclaim life in the Black Saturday effected areas.
There is accomodation available throughout Merrijig & beyond, towards Mt Buller as well as Mansfield, which is only a 15 minute drive away. There is a Shuttle Bus available between The Rodeo Grounds & Mansfield (this is NOT a free service, but it is very reasonably priced for your convenience, we hope to cover our costs only) We hope to see you at the Merrijig Rodeo.
